Re: Len10 - Captain Carbon

All of his best work was done around 2009-2013. Just before he jumped ship to Best. Nothing truly mind blowing since then on the water, of course his recovery from cancer is both impressive and an upbeat relief. He's an icon for sure, but echoing the post about how nothing has changed in the last d...

Re: How to unglue pads from a board?

athen, Try taking some goo gone/goof off, and with the board on its side, put a little of that between the deck and the pads. After that sits for a minute, take some fishing line and slide it under the pads. I did it years ago on my old Underground Magic Carpet 158. I never bothered to remove the le...

Re: Light wind kites

Flite 12 is 3 strut, but amazingly good for foiling (not to mention regular freeriding). I have also used the Flite 17 down to about 8 mph or so, but I began to question if that was a good idea since my jibes weren't good and it was sideshore wind. I was pretty sure I was going to end up dumping the...

Ezzycut is the best, nice little holster , replaceable blades, two sided....gold standard IMO.. https://eezycut.com/ matth, Whic...

Re: Stains on Slingshot kites

Like iriejohn is indicating, this most often happens when the kite has been put away wet from freshwater (rain or hosed off) for awhile. It's a mildew and there's not much you can do (safely for the kite) to remove it. Maybe someone here knows something I don't and will share it. And this happens ac...

It's amazing that guy can jump so high with all that weight...you know balls that big have to be heavy!

Is it just me, or is the jump at 1:03 using a bar stopper? I can't see it, but it looks like it never goes out when he takes his hands off. :?:

Re: OR Soul: is this over kill for cold water protection?

*Disclaimer-I sell Souls (as well as others) I was a drysuit naysayer for a while, then I had a chance to use one. There's no going back once you do that, IMHO. I teach all year round here, even when the air temp is at freezing and the water temp is 50 F. I stand around for hours teaching people to ...

Re: Why would a city want Kiteboarders

Where I live in Virginia we host an annual surf competition that's affiliated with the WSL; our waves suck and the contest is usually run in boat wake or windblown onshore crap. Kiting would be an awesome add-on to that event, give the audience something to watch when the waves aren't pumping, and ...
