Re: Best kiting holiday locations January, February and Marc

Cape Town, South Africa is a great choice for a holiday, no matter what level you're at. Big Bay (where they hold the Red Bull King of the Air) and Kite Beach are great for advanced kiters, but Muizenberg has a more begginer feel to it and the lagoon in Langebaan is where many people learn to kite. ...

Re: Help! Need February recommendations

I know it's slightly outside of where you're wanting to go, but have you thought about Cape Town, South Africa? It's crazy windy, has great weather and the currency is pretty weak so everything is cheap there, gear, accommodation and food. Red Bull King of the Air is there in January, and the wind k...

Re: South Africa wind stats VS reality ??? Need info pls

As mentioned in the previous comment , you probably will get 3 days straight with insane wind, and for the rest you might have around 20 knots it's still kite-able. Besides that, as a kiting holiday location, Cape Town has no equal. It's right in the middle of our summer the time you want to come ov...

Red Bull King of the Air interviews

So we've been given an awesome opportunity by Red Bull to interview some of the riders for the 2014 King of the Air! Jesse Richman, Kevin Langeree among others! Super stoked!

So we'd like to know, if you could ask them any questions, what would they be?

Re: Which are The Best all year kitesurf cities in the World

Cape Town is perfect for what you're looking for. Crazy wind, and the beautiful African sun along with good waves and tons of beaches and lagoons to go and kite, you won't get bored here. English is the prevalent language here, and the locals are super friendly! Also UCT is a high ranking world reno...

Re: Flat for February??

Cape Town is prime then. February is right in Summer, and the peak of the windy season. The Red Bull King of the Air is being held there again next year http://capetown-watersports.com/red-bull-king-air-2014/ Muizenberg and Big Bay have chilled waves, and Langebaan is perfect for flat water stuff. C...

Re: Wave kiting on December or January

Cape Town South Africa is a good spot. There are a few spots for exactly what you are looking for. You've got Muizenberg, with warm water and small to medium waves that break quite close to the shore, and long stretches of beach perfect for nailing any tricks you're working on. You've got Big Bay, w...
