Re: Tried for the first time a race board ... not happy!

I just changed the setup to the minimum stance possible, which is still more then the biggest i can get on the older board and will try again from there. What were you seeking in picking it up? I think the T60 is a move race oriented shape with good sized bevels and a tapered ass, but surface rides...

Tried for the first time a race board ... not happy!

So today i got my second hand Moses Comet 2017 Raceboard, im very happy that i didnt wait for a even smaller and more expensive 2018 model, because this board is REALLY hard when comparing to my T40 board. Here is why, and if someone more experienced have some hints, they are welcome: - The fact tha...

Re: Moses 2018

Does anyone know if there will be 2017 wing compatibility with fuse and for that matter, can a 2018 fuse go on a 2017 mast. That would rock. Moses told me that you will be able to use all 2018 wings in the 2017 fuselage, also the masts from 2017 you can use in the 2018 fuselage. Just not sure if yo...

Re: Moses 2018

Its seems the new comet board will be much smaller then the current one, something like 142x42... isnt that abit "too small" for lightwinds specially?

Moses 2018

Just wondering if anyone here got to test the new foils? Gunnar? It seems the new race wings are better then the old one, and also they have a new fuselage.

Anyone? Or we still have to wait?

Re: Power.

Two diferent styles, what i normally do to get both: Lightwind: I ride as much powered as i can with a race foil, speed and jumps in <10knots are fun! Medium/Strong wind: I feel that being powered up its still too dangerous for my skill, so i put the wave wing and ride a small kite, its fun, and safe!

Re: How often do you swim in @ <10knots ?

I disagree... Foil kites are way better for low end, meaning more peak power in marginal wind. But when the wind is really low and gusty/shifting, they tend to collapse - whereas a superlight well balanced no strut kite will hang much better and can not collapse, even if too light wind to ride. Hav...

Re: How often do you swim in @ <10knots ?

I think the first question to answer is, are you landing all of your foiling tacks and gybes? If not, the swimming will continue until you figure the other stuff out, or buy a better kite for those conditions. No jibes yet. And yes, I'm looking for a better kite for those conditions (considering th...

Re: How often do you swim in @ <10knots ?

Zero swims so far with my Chrono V2 UL 15m, and i do go out in extremely light winds with the hidrofoil. This kite only goes on the water by rider mistake, it nearly flies with no wind. With the LEI Voyager v3 12m i had a few swims, when the wind dropped under 6 knots. With "normal" kites, you will ...
