Re: Foil tangled in lines

During last session had a situation when after a crash I ended up with a foil between my lines. Kite was still in the air stable when I was holding the bar with one hand but I could not unwrap the lines from the foil with the other hand. When I tried to use both hands kite started looping and had t...

Re: Riding powered: Seat vs Waist Harness

Thats exactly what i feel! Im used to do manouvers with the bar over my head or at least over my shoulders and now ive to do it much lower, about chest high to have the same feel. I use hook and normaly chiken loop, so ive to add a cable that attach to the hook and then to the chikenloop, any suges...

Re: Riding powered: Seat vs Waist Harness

Today i tried the seat harness again, no doubt i can hold ALOT more power, its like another world but the major issue for me is the hook position being alot lower then the waist that makes the balance in manouvers complety diferent. Maybe extend a main power line between a hook and a cleat. Try thi...

Re: Riding powered: Seat vs Waist Harness

I own a very similar one: Dakine Vega, but only tried it 1 time and because the balance is totaly messed up didnt give it any time. Ill try it again for abit more time.

Re: Do foil kites stay in the air better?

I would not be general on this point : some light strutless (gong, Cloud) hang in the air at least as good as relatively heavy foilkites like FS S3 or sonic fr or Ozone R1v1. And it is even reinforced if the rider is not used to foilkites like you say. Yes true, strutless are the exception, i had a...

Re: Do foil kites stay in the air better?

Unless is really gusty, i think a foil kite will always stay in the air better BUT not a good idea to learn to use a foil kite in light wind WITH waves, you will drop it because of lack of tecnique, not because it doesnt stay in the air.

Riding powered: Seat vs Waist Harness

So my back is getting destroyed after each session of race praticing / boosting, normally now riding with 17m in 12-14 knots, 15m in 16 knots on short lines. I really hate seat harness and also the balance is completely different and i feel ive to re-learn most stuff. Whats the best waist harness fo...

Re: World kite championships 2018

hi Can someone explain me why there are so many „first places“ in one race ? Different fleets? Yes, they have different fleets at first and then the top from each fleet race each other. However, I dont think the medal races ever happened. They were supposed to be Saturday but were cancelled due to ...
