Re: Foilers vs Kiters proportion now

Toby has never foiled ever what!!!!!? Toby you are missing out big time if you haven’t....boosting on foil compared to twintip is like driving a 1995 Ford pickup vs driving a BMW F80 M3 :D 5 times the fun.. remember, I am passed the point of just jumping, I am into tricks. Yes, the jumping on a foi...

Re: Foilers vs Kiters proportion now

This really depends on the spot, like Toby pointed out, if you have 25+ knots everyday, you wont foil much i guess. But if like me, you have 60% of the day with a seabreeze between 5 and 12 knots, you wont touch the TT much.

Re: Sand your trailing edges

I believe that in low to medium aspect wings you can sand almost all you want that the performance loss will be minimal. On race wings not really.

Re: hydrofoiling in "normal winds"

I rarely rig anything under 11m now lol, and the 11m its only when its 16+ knots. If its 20+ ill go for some TT unless for some reason i get flat water.

Re: Moses W585 vs W600A - differences

OK now i know - 585 is slower about 4 knots than w600a,and its little less stable. Info from Moses factory Top speed of a race wing is something REALLY hard to to measure, and ill say 99% of us wont be able to make that test. What makes a race wing better then others, is stability, balance and stal...

I dont have it with me, but basically all sharp edges now have about 2mm instead of less than 1mmm and are rounded.

Let us know how it affect Onda performance. Being knife like is my only complain to Onda :)
You can sand it no problem, ive a friend learning with a onda and i sanded his wings to something that will still hurt alot if it hits you but is less likely to cut, and the foil still works great.

Re: is super light wind the promised land?!

Tuning and relaunch tips?? Gloves, and what next, fins?? I'm sorry, but this is not the promised land. 10 Knots may sound ridiculously high to those that are please with simply riding along, but to many a kiteboarders it is impossibly low for the kind of riding it allows. The dark arts of the lowes...
