Re: Nobile Foil Split Board 2018

From that image it looks like the front straps will go across the front and back half of the board. I would think this will make it a bit annoying to pack up....well for me anyway as I seperate the front and back to fit it in my car to and from the beach.

Re: Foldable Mast Concept

Maybe a reliable telescopic mast would work. Could extend out another 1/3 of the compact size pretty reliably I would think without looking too much ridgidness. Would also be god for packing up in the car.

Re: Hydrofoil Pro Tour - San Francisco - Aug 2-6

Awesome I'm moving to the city at the end of this month. Can't wait to bore my kids watching it. Anyone know if it's best to watch from Crissy or the bridge?

Re: Split board for a world tour?

I did this over the last 12 months: Sri Lanka, Soma Bay, Phuket, El Gouna, Cape Town, Boracay, Mauritius all with the Nobile Split. Its a great board. I would opt for the carbon one tho for weight savings. In El Gouna and Boracay when the wind was light, i was able to rent a raceboard to keep ridin...

Re: Quikfin - tool free fin system

i also backed the project when it was around a few years ago and hit hem up a few times on facebook after trying to see if they had launched. When i was looking in the old days it was cause i traveled a lot and i hated removing the fins and attaching them constantly as this screwed (pun intended) up...

Re: Moving to San Fran answer have some questions.

thanks guys, Some really good info in there. "San Fran" is a term visitors call San Francisco. We Bay Area locals call it The City. Its a dead giveaway if you visit here and may get mugged by pickpockets. unfortunately i don't think the Aussie accent will help either but i'll call it the "City" anyw...

Re: Moving to San Fran answer have some questions.

Welcome to SF! You will Probably need a car. I generally have 2 kites with me. The forecasts are pretty good but conditions can change quickly. Use the ikitesurf paid membership - its worth it - human forecasts 3 times a day plus wind meters all over the bay. You will learn slot about the wind patt...

Moving to San Fran answer have some questions.

Hi guys, I'm moving to San Fran at the end of June and I'm looking for as much knowledge as I can get in regards to all things kiting related. I've been reading up and it seems like the two spots I'll most likely be kiting are Crissy Fields (seems pretty unforgiving) and Ocean Beach but if anyone ha...
