Re: wetsuit boots for kiteboarding that fit into H2 straps

I've used the Quicksilver Neo Goo 3mm booties and they fit great in the H2 straps. They make a 5mm version of those boots but I've never tried them. They're very warm for their thickness. I use them down to like 45-50 F or something like that. I tried them once with thick winter booties with all tha...

Re: January New Zealand Trip

Sorry about the late response.

I mean free rock climbing over water. So if you fall you just land in the water. OT, but something I've wanted to do for a long time.

January New Zealand Trip

I'm heading out New Zealand for a little over three weeks in January. Me and my wife are going out to visit her sister who lives in Auckland, but of course I'll bring some kite gear. Does anyone on hear have any experience to share about the area, gear to bring, locations, etc? I'll probably bring a...

Re: Cabrinha H1 or H2 users?

I've used both, the H1 while demoing boards and the H2 on my board. The H2s are very comfortable and secure. I think they offer a good amount of control. The H1s are smaller in the strap area so you're not as locked in. They're cheaper though.

Re: Cabrinha Radar

I'm happy to see that it looks like they're switching to the more common single line flagging safer attached directly to the leash. I didn't try the 1X safety, but assembling the 2012 system was a hassle even in my backyard.

Re: Coming back from an injury

I definitely plan on going strapless. I was riding a TT in the ocean. Since I was wearing thick winter booties, I really had to grab my feet and shove them into the straps to get them in there enough to ride. Then, coming down from a wave, the front of the board caught, and the board twisted. My fee...

Coming back from an injury

I'm wondering what sort of advice guys who have came back from more serious injuries have to say about the process of getting back on the water. I broke my ankle pretty badly in December. Now roughly 11 weeks, one broke fibula, 9 screws and a plate later, I can finally walk without a walking boot. I...

Re: 2014 Cabrinha Contra vs 2014 Ozone Zephyr

yep... Contra is a power machine... and if you go for the 15 at your weight, the top end shouldn't be a problem... I rode mine once while others came in on their 9s when the wind picked up... yes, I'm 100kg, yes, they were lighter, yes, I was fully depowered, and yes, I was overpowered... but I fel...
