Re: Powered kiteloop, fronthand not staying on bar.

Perhaps your throwing the loop too early - let it pull you up higher until you feel the kite reduces its lift then pull it...
Work your way back to a happy medium... steered loop..

Oahu Dream Holiday

Im thinking of going their for my dream kiting holiday in a few weeks. Is there a link to local kitesurfing forum or something. Also does anyone know where its better to base yourself. Thinking 7m Screamer and 9m Xr5 75kg.. would this be enough ? Hotels very expensive for 14 days so might try air bn...

Re: Another which kite? post

With older kites your main concern should be valves becoming unglued.. new or not.. get the rebel.

Re: Making some new lines..

Yep just make some or buy some pigtails then lock splice like the video - no sewing required..

I made some yesterday - always seems stupid to "Stab and weaken your premium lines" for the sake of fashion.
Use guitar string or something similar

Xr5 6m or 5m Boost 2 top end ??

Can anyone with real experience please tell what the top end is like - around 40 knots..
I have the 9m Xr5 which I can hold down overpowered till about 35 comfortably.

I'm looking for a small storm kite..

The XR isn’t a beginner kite either, it’s just a pure hangtime kite, so it’s more stable, but loop it 100 times & you‘ll bust a tube. It’s built for insane hangtime, not for loops!
I loop my XR5 9m all the time.. why would it bust a tube ? Is there a design fault or news I've missed out on ?

Re: Which bar for petite person / shorter arms

A plain stopper ball will do fine - Remember, if you shorten the throw your windrange will be less also and have to be extra careful in stronger winds..

Look up the "Bye Bye chickenloop" thread also - for your best Options..
