i recently spoke to the owner of a windsurf product company that is getting into the kite business. he said developing a bar took more time and money than his kites.

i heard zian kites,which are made in singapore, retail for around $700 in the u.s.

that tells me that manufacturing and shipping are less than $500 if the people involved want to make money.

you guys are savs. around these parts (sf bay) the rule of thumb is if the air and water temps don't add up to 100 we pass. that's F, btw.

evidently that rule is broken regularly in other areas but how long can one last in the water in the event of a breakdown?

finally. actual safety tips.... instead of having to search your bar and shorts a little bungie loop around your wrist is right where you'll need it when the time comes. works if you're wearing a long sleeve wetsuit or rash guard and can tuck it up beneath the cuff. otherwise you could accidentally ...

Playa del Carmen is full of turistas and not suitable for beginner kiters if not prohibited altogether. It gets less populated as you go south.
