Re: Maine snow kiting?

Webb Lake is also pretty good. Nice scenery with mountains around.

Re: sea anchor!

What downunder writes about the kite not being able to be relaunched after a swim is not correct. I've done this. After getting the water out, I've launched and flown the kite to dry it, then continued with my session. He is correct about sand getting permanently trapped in the trailing edge, howeve...

Re: sea anchor!

I leave my foil kites hanging in my basement with dehumidifier running overnight. Even after a swim in with the kite, it will be dry inside. Well maybe after a swim it takes more like 24 hours. But I think this is a better way than leaving the kite in the sun. I've done this with the Lotus material ...

Re: Who ride with sunglasses, and where?

Up here in New England in the US, I wear them all the time. I have very little trouble with fogging. I ride about 120 days a year, all hydrofoil. It's flat water conditions with some wind waves at times. I use Seaspecs. On one pair a lens popped out once in a hydrofoil crash. And once, a long time a...

Re: The WetSuit Game: Patagonia R4-R5

I have one of the R's, not sure if it is the 5 or 4. It's not labeled on the suit--just has 'R' written on the sleeve. It is a great suit! It has held up much better than my Hyperflex. The Hyperflex was very hard to get off and one of the dams around the neck area tore so that water leaks in. This r...

Re: 6m soul for foiling

jumptheshark, I'm not sure how it affects riding style, but the feeling at the bar is very different. I much prefer any of the foils I have to my tube kites. The bar pressure is even and solid, though fairly light. With the tubes the bar pressure feels nonexistent. I'm used to that now and DO use my...
