I think that all manufacturers don't warranty damage by boots.
Only a few of them do and only for specific boards.

BTW Fone have a totally new system for the inserts. they are all drilled into one single plate so it's a lot lot lot stronger.

Just go for the Fone Bandit and get done with it.
It does everything pretty well.

No issues whatsoever with my Bandits. Love them ! My Trax though got delaminated after a few months but Fone customer care is quite superb and they replaced it for me. I could have chosen to get the same model for free or to add a few Dineros for a 2014 upgrade. Obviously I chose to upgrade :naughty...
