Re: Concept Air Smart Wave 6.5 & 4.5 & 3

Not an easy answer. Spent to little time with Smart. I would say 14 kts av, taking into account that on waves you need a bit less power to start.

Re: Concept Air Smart Wave 6.5 & 4.5 & 3

Just after few sessions at Manawa/LeMorne/Mauritius with Smart 6,5 on 18m lines/Spitfire LW and winds around 15 knots for my 90kg. Smart came back from Benoit with reinforced trailing edge. Now it is strong enough, checked, as I usually put kites in the drink ewentually. I feel Smart in my hands lik...

Re: Ozone bar new graphic

You guys know there is such a thing as red tape? If the only gripe is the color, that is pretty easy to work around. just sayin It is not the only thing but I share cglaziere opinion. Additionally, I would prefer a bar with the grip that will instantly tell my grab is correct even if my hand is und...

Re: New foil from Ozone

Hanks for the detailed answer. There seem to be no velcro at all at the end of the wing, right ? Strange (Like sonic race and Elf but both have no velcros) because it seems apriori in detriment of internal pressure, but I am certainly wrong if it works... ; Another question : Are the seams glued of...

Re: New foil from Ozone

Interesting thanks; In your opinion, What explains that the drain is better than other kites ? Is it possible that you take a zoom picture of this drainage system ? Its a matter of bigger drain holes as well as bigger channel inside. Water is moving fast to drain hole. You can see bigger stream of ...

Re: New foil from Ozone

After my third HL-12 session on 20m lines in gusty 7-16 knots I have mixed impressions. Kite is fast and produce enough power peak to start foiling with the downloop, but later on power delivery is limited (Spitfire demand for power is a bit more than Carver, but I think HL profile is not cambered e...

Re: Concept'air Pulsion 15m

Just a few impressions from todays 18 m Pulsion session. Was blowing gusty wind across the lake 4-15 kts. I took shorter, 18m lines and got much better control in gusts. I put largest Zeeko front foil:Carver-wing. It has a lot of surface that limits max speed to app. 20 Kts limiting true windspeed f...

What wind angle would work best, straight downwind or 1/4 downwind maybe?
Straight downwind should work the best. At least that is what I love to practice now, without buoys, of course. With a speed wing it's a bit easier above 14 kts.

Re: Glide ! Low or High aspect wing

A super low AR Surf foil like the Takuma way more glide that my super high AR Banga. Why is has about 3 times the surface area. -- Gunnar That is really complicated problem. Let us imagine Gunnar's glide on a swell, where slow Takuma will ride down the slope, whereas Gunnar has to put fast Banga at...

Re: Foil slalom?

Since last year I'm thinking some kind of parallel slalom with buoys located similar way to waterski slalom. 3 rows of buoys should probably do the job. A heat every 5 min. That may crate a spectacular show for beach public observing 2 riders at full speed, carving tight turns with elbows touching t...
