Re: Who ride with sunglasses, and where?

Hi, Frank. Surfers eye (pterygium) is my main reason to use sunglasses on the water. I use them in sunny and cloudy weather. The other one reason is protection from impact as well. Two years ago, foiling Baltic waves I manage to hit oncoming wave with my face so fast, I haven't time to even close my...

Re: HyperLink 7m vs Soul 6m - wave performance

9m Lines are really short. But it shows the potential of the SOUL at short lines even with that radical short lines. For most 12-17m is short enough. Have fun and I hope to see some picture of you. Yes, thats true. 9m lines on 6m Soul didn't worked for me at all. Felt weird. I couldn't find correct...

Re: Kurtis Goggles

I've used Kurtis for several years. When this thread came out I was disappointed because I really love them. I took advice from the thread and bought the LiP glasses. The Kurtis glasses are way better. The are light, flexible and super comfortable and they float. The Lip might look more like normal...

Re: HyperLink 7m vs Soul 6m - wave performance

Expecting stormy weather prepared bar with 7m lines for Soul 6. Unfortunately wind was 10-20 knots today, so attached 7m lines to 10m Soul. And that was too short. Unlike 9m lines, 7m setup doesn’t fit the rhytm of my curving turns at all. Also in jumps it was awkward to redirect before landing. But...

Re: HyperLink 7m vs Soul 6m - wave performance

Someone can ask: what in common has Soul 10 with this thread? The answer is: After this session I’m convinced I will use it on 9m lines as my wave kite in winds above 12. Should work as well as Soul 6 on 12m lines. I plan to shorten Soul6 lines to 8 or even 7m to get similar or even better kite beha...

Re: HyperLink 7m vs Soul 6m - wave performance

Today have a session in very gusty 10-20 kts wind with 10m Soul/9m lines/45cm bar + spitfire XL. Unexpectadly good power control in gusts, shifts and power zone crossing. As the cross power zone distance is short, kite is not able to accelerate to max speed before reaching edge of wind window, and t...

Re: Half a Zeeko windfoil = Spitfire monofoil

Thanks for the feedback. When you tried various wings behind a boat, you preferred the Carver wing. Why are you choosing the Spitfire rear wing for mono? The rear wing of the Spitfire may be quite similar in characteristics to a regular kitefoil front wing. As there are few profiles with COP moving...
