HyperLink 7m vs Soul 6m - wave performancep

I am still in search after a good foil kite for hydrofoil wave riding /carving. After just three chest high wave sessions on Spitfire XL (80 kg; 15-25 knots; 17m linenes)with HL7 and many more sessions on Spitfire XL (13-17 knots; 17m lines) with Soul6, I’m finding more HL advantages over Soul. Hype...

Re: Marginal wind kites ?

I fully agree with Regis-de-giens. Pulsion18 is the most reliable kite to bring me back to my spot, either on foil or bodydragging upwind. It needs a lot of depower in gusts, but bring me back on four knots on my lake with lul’y wind. It’s my best kite to relounch in light winds, and it is not keen ...

Re: Flysurfer Soul

My first 12m Soul session in 7-11kts. A no go wind for 12m HL. Soul is faster and more agile - that is why it gives more power thanks to: 1.higer AR https://images82.fotosik.pl/1041/be1fb4625ced7501med.jpg 2.Cleaner surface thanks to more cell count 41 vs 31 https://images82.fotosik.pl/1041/96cd46e...

Re: What got you into Hydrofoiling?

Re: Flysurfer Soul

Pictures of billowing show kites are thick, but because kites are not in flying shape cell shape looks worse than it is in reality. TE's of either kite don't look very good, but again FS with higher cell count (thinner cell) has to be better. One year old HL is not as airtight as a new kite. Seams ...

Re: Speed system / mixer test explanations

I usually shorten front line lengh to adapt my 18m Pulsion to marginal winds, and make them longer for stronger winds. IMO it helps the kite to stay in the air at 3-6 knots, and increase a bit upper range. I suspect we can gain the same or better effect by changing the distances AB;BC;CZ. If AB=BC=(...
