Re: Boardriding Maui Paipo, lightwind..or any wind.

Thanks! Actually no...not to me. The shinnster is indeed easier to push around so it also makes it easier to tack or move with it. Of course you can break out very easely. For example with my vanguard i got my left side tack like a dime but my right side goes 1 on 5. With the shinnster i manage both...

Re: Boardriding Maui Paipo, lightwind..or any wind.

Recently bought the shinnster and had my first session on in. The first 5 minutes were searching for the best feet positioning but after that it's just pure fun!! For me this board makes "technical" moves easier because of the quick response by the skimmy float. Super stoked about this board can't w...

Re: FireWire vanguard ?

Yesterdag my first session with the vanguard 5'4. fins set up : quad I'm 92kg. Straigth onshore 15-17 knots. flew it with my 12m because i saw that most with a 9 and 10m did not get upwind deeper in sea. So they all were getting in eachothers way. :D For me it was no problem to go upwind. Actually m...

Re: FireWire vanguard ?

Hi Manuel,

Thanks for the info!!

Actually i would keep my whip 5'8 as low wind board (12-17 knots) and would use the vanguard for medium wind 18-26 knots.
So it hink 5'4 would do the trick...

But i hope my local kiteshop will have them soon for some testing.

Keep us posted how it goes! :thumb:

Re: FireWire vanguard ?

Finally I receive my 5'4" Vanguard :thumb: but the wind forecast looks really bad for this week :angryfire: I don't want to use wax on the board so I purchase a NSI full monty pad before receive the board and when install it the pad covers part of the firewire logo. No big deal for me but for those...
