Re: Do U use an impact vest for hydrofoiling?

I always use an Ion vest. Payed itself many times over when learning tacks and gybes as it's not hard to fall on the board (or foil itself). Just the other day I fell with my back against the edge of the board... agree also worth it for the extra flotation as I tend to go further from shore on the f...

Re: North Clickbar 2017 "cinch"/lock when steering the kite and power/depower at the same time?

Bravo to Dan/North for openly addressing the issue here, admitting it may be an issue for some people, and for being so transparent. I used a 2016 Cabrinha bar for a few weeks and couldn't get used to the bar sticking during kiteloops or downloops. So went back to an uncovered depower line with a di...

Re: Front Wing design and build1

Great work! How did you make the molds? Leo Standard old school mold 1/Make a plug (dummy wing) 2/Gel coat plug and split center plate. So basically half the wing and yet to be created flanges on split plate . 3/Build up on top of gel coat with chopped mat lamination to thickness of around 6mm. 4/R...

Re: Kite/Megaloop Ozone Edge

It's doable, but much more difficult and you require a lot more height to complete the loop. This kite will also have a lot more power through the loop. I think Nick Jacobsen went to King of the Air with a Switchblade, same situation. Looks awesome since it gives so much pull and swing...but also mo...

Re: TT bottom channels...does it matter?

Great, thanks everyone for the responses.I wasn't implying that any brand is trying to deceive us. But the benefits of any new given features can be certainly overstated, and it's good to understand these features in greater detail to make more informed decisions.

And if you're open to mix/match with other brands, look at this pre-order from Levitaz. https://levitaz.com/shop/boards/2017-levitaz-raze/

Re: Moses Comet or T60?

One thing that called my attention is that the Comet has rails whereas the T60 does not. Tuning the placement of the foil for your style of riding might make the Comet better. Also the T60 has cushioning whereas the Comet has grippy material on the hard surface. For my feet I'd prefer the softer mat...
