.....for +2years I've been working non-stop, didn't have a life, and couldn't do any kiteboarding. Now I have the time (and money) I just want to enjoy it 200%.....

Re: Ready to start again but first I need to buy my gear

Hey, maxrider. Glad you're getting back into the sport. I'll defer to others for opinions on the kites you've listed (I don't use either F-One or Naish), but I'm wondering if you could save money on your board to apply to new kites. If the Nobile 2011 is your old board, can you use it while you prog...

Re: Launching solo

I like the video posted by mbevo. Here are a couple of additional thoughts. If you're still a beginner, start with the anchor technique. It's safer and doesn't depend as much on proper timing. The drag technique is more advanced, and a lot can go wrong. If you want to try the drag technique shown in...

Re: How hard?

What do you do at the end of the session if you aren't rolling your kites up? You are going to create a fold in the material then surely? Yes, I do roll my kite at the end of a session. But I usually remember to deflate the kite before rolling. :remybussi: It's not folding the material that gives m...

Re: Groove Skate

If I could ride like Gunnar, I'd buy a Groove Skate, too. Heck, I'd buy one if I could just hear Steppenwolf every time I ride. Nice video, Gunnar. :thumb:

Re: How hard?

I think my kite being eaten by waves is a much bigger danger to my kites then a gentle fold test..... :thumb: Agreed. Regarding gauge pressure, most kites (often around the inflate valve) show the recommended pressure. I'd be shocked if any kite recommends 12 psi. Most are in the 7-9 psi rang...

Re: How hard?

The "fold test" is intriguing to me. I have never used it, never known an instructor to teach it, and can't imagine that it's good for your kite or LE bladder. Am I the only one who thinks that the "fold test" forces the kite and LE bladder to do what they are not designed to do? :?: I've always fou...

Re: Kite Suggestions using pre-existing control bars

Although I have to credit foilholio with an outstanding idea (some big kite brand will patent it soon, and I hope he gets a royalty), he and the person that advised you not to mix bars and kites of different manufacturers are just jerking your chain. You can use your bars with most any four line, la...

Exceptional value. Lots of good feedback on this forum (pro and con) if you search "Pansh".
