I don't know if Sean Reyngoudt is on this forum or even if he's still kiting.......I really hope so! A few years ago, he was "da' man" with a prosthetic on a kiteboard or wakeboard. I'm sure he'd be a good resource if you can find him. http://www.prostheticorthoticdesigns.com/inspire/our-clients/sea...

"Now go out and get yourself some big black frames With the glass so dark they won't even know your name And the choice is up to you cause they come in two classes: Rhinestone shades or cheap sunglasses.........." ZZ Top I use SeaSpecs when I kite, but at all other times, I feel like a rock star in ...

Re: Board Graphic Delaminating.

Hey, Lxt. If it's any consolation, I had exactly the same problem with one of my boards, followed the same procedure as you did (but also added a weight to the top of the board while the epoxy dried), and ended up with an identical result. I'm not sure why the ripples appeared in the laminate. In th...

Re: any tips for boat launch or similar?

I've done a lot of kite launches off of boats of various sizes and jet skis. IMHO, a "boat launch" and a "paddleboard launch" are two different animals. A paddleboard really doesn't have enough stability to be of any benefit beyond providing flotation to keep you out of the water until the kite is d...

Re: Dear old Nobile 666 and 555

I agree with prior posts. If you can find a "new" old Nobile TT (2007-2008 vintage) at a good price (they were expensive boards for that era), it will be a great investment. They are very nice boards. :thumb:

Re: Any self taught out there?!

Two days ago, I watched a strong, fit 20-something man get dragged face-first across the beach by a 9 m kite. He first tomahawked the kite into another person on the beach, and then looped it again while he was being dragged towards some power lines. Luckily, someone grabbed his kite before he hit t...

Hey, LFAK. Lions and polar bears live lives of continuous physical activity. They don't need to warm up. Most people don't live like lions and polar bears. :thumb:

Re: Choose between 3 big boards

I agree with badgb21. Under 15 knots, a 12 m kite really won't provide enough power. Your current board is fine, although I also like the Crazy Fly boards. But you'd be better off investing in another kite (15-17m) to handle the lighter winds.
