No this is dead wrong. You do not get more depower when you pull...

Would like to hear specifics about the Quick Release... not trying to brand bash but let's not overlook the obvious.

If it's a defective release or one which is hard to find (ie: small loop) this could have played a big role in the outcome.

Sorry to hear about this tragedy. I find it hard to believe someone would simply not pull it so there must have been something else going on here. I have ONE QUESTION: What brand and type of quick release was it? Perhaps he tried but could not find and get his finger in a tiny F#$#$NG quick release ...

BTW, if anyone is using the old (discontinued) rope on rope release, make SURE you do not have it rigged backwards... it's easy to get wrong and it will work fine until you place it under load: I have an 06 system rope on rope, can you explain rig bacwards for me please? Pause the video at the part...

Hah! Yeah... Scott on a Best kite. When he called me and told me I nearly fell out of my chair. I would have bet $10000 it would never happen. Regardless, he's been riding that 9m waroo every time we are out. I was on my 16m 06 waroo barely holding ground in chop and a strong current and he went a m...

Rode the 10 in 30+ here in St. Pete during a night session. My guess is that the vents give it a bit more range.. they open up when the canopy is not under tension (ie when depowered), and close when the canopy is under tension, but thats just pure speculation since I don't design kites :) Seemed to...

Yep...I can do 20 feet in 12 knots on a Speed 2 19 using a Nobile 555 134. I weigh 80 kg. In 13/14 knots with the right technique you can boost high enough to shit your boardshorts and the hang time is unfuckingbelieveable. Uhuh... calling BS on that one. In 12? 10ft max, in a good gust., more like...
