Re: Griffen kites

There are a number of reviews on the Australian forum http://www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Kitesurfing/Review/Griffin-Argo-X-anyone-got-one It is 1 kite with 2 easy to change bridle options. ( 2 kites in one ) The default setup is a nice and easy constant pull easy turning bridle for most beginners to...

Re: "New Technology"

"You're absolutely right, some of the kites out now I am scratching my head wondering why the freaking leading edge is so huge. **Cough cough Contra cough cough!** And you would think a flatter leading edge would be faster in the sky, which I don't get why kite companies aren't doing this either, it...

Re: "New Technology"

I hate to tell you this man, but carbon is no light weight material. Sure, it's what airplanes are made out of, but to put it on a kite and call it "better technology" is a bad idea. But you're thinking in the right direction. Think about carbon fiber struts, it would weigh the kite down, make it l...

Re: Free kite plans on GitHub

A way to prove a kite design works, is to fly it in gusty overpowering conditions and see how well it holds its shape, is there any video of these kites in 25+ knots and jumping? I would love to see it :) The thing that takes the most time for me with a new kite design is getting the bridle perfect,...

Re: Free kite plans on GitHub

I would love to get some dealers in EU and USA, I have a dealer in France and getting awesome reviews, when designing kites, you realize once the kite is right, the bridle can be 80% of how the kite flys/performs. So i designed a great kite for beginners to intermediate and a simple bridle mod for p...

Re: Free kite plans on GitHub

I made a great strutless kite, I don't plan on going into production with it, so I may release a 12m plan for people to have fun with, they are so much easier to make than strutted kites

Re: Chicken Loop Bye Bye?

I just found this looking for some bar parts in marine catalogs. Its called the Allen Keyball. The concept of the ball replacing the hook system seems to have been done before the fireball system. It does not have a quick release I can see but it should be easy to make one up and attach it to a norm...

Re: Direct to consumer sales

Look at the surf industry, Quicksilver, ripcurl are selling direct from there website, shops are annoyed because there sale prices can be less than there whole sale price, and now they have to compeat with the brand they sell...
