Re: North & Duotone - Your Questions Answered by CEO Till Eberle

So funny. I've been on North gear for 12 years now and have never heard of this guy. Now, all of a sudden, we see 25 completely staged photos of him surveying all the equipment with his duotone shirt on, acting like he designed it all. Does this guy even kite? For the record huge respect for North....

Re: I'll have to change my name now North Kiteboarding is no more..

If the consequence of this, for fans of North kites, is a set of Duotone products which are consistent with the previous line up in terms of quality and characteristics (every indication this will be the case) and are priced without North Sails cut, we should see a benefit. Hopefully priced to capt...

Re: Greece by car, any travel tips?

I have been to Lefkada and Lemnos (both last year). The spots in Lefkada are detailed here: http://www.alwayswindy.com/blog/lefkada-the-kite-spot/ Drove around all the spots in Lefkada but was unlucky with the wind (1 day of marginal conditions only). The most consistent beach is Agios Ionis. Go up ...

Re: flying foot switch - advice needed

Thanks Peter!

Just the answer I was looking for. Actually it turns out I had read that thread but I had a bit of a progression surge in this last month so it didn't really stick in my brain as it was a little beyond what I was working on at that time.

Thanks again :thumb:

Re: flying foot switch - advice needed

I notice several videos suggest making the foot switch during the phase where you are heading downwind. I'm only just starting to play with foot switches and on a surfboard like many others here I make the switch either before or after the carve. Is it the right thing to do to make the change during...

Re: Wash or not wash your kites

Like everyone says. Never wash but proper drying is important. Especially from fresh water. I am very careful to dry right away after it rains and never pack a wet kite. Speaking of kite wear. Biggest wear that people do not realize is getting sand into your pump hose and plugging that in your kite...

Re: Wash or not wash your kites

Nothing wrong with washing your kite - as long as it gets dried fully afterwards. Wet freshwater kites will mildew if not dried. Doesn't happen with salt water (the zips of your bag corrode instead) so its not essential to fully air dry if you need to self land. Wash it when it gets dirty. Don't wor...

Re: Remora Suction Foil Mount

That looks great! You should copy the promo videos for the Foilmount (where the guys are doing pull ups on the foil to show how strong the mount is). I notice they currently market it as a travel companion. Fly over without a board. Buy something cheap at your destination and whack the mount onto it...

Re: Good bar suggestion

If split height is a priority, Switch also have a variable height split point on their latest bar. Eleveight came out with the seat belt style reset before ozone so its not a unique feature with them (though the bar does look very nice anyway) My current favourite bar is probably my best RP bar (the...

Re: Leash wrapped around harness hook

I have noticed the likes of Aaron and co pre-wrapping the leash around his body before starting the rotation. That way he unwraps the leash rather than wraps it around his body.
