Re: The Monjet Ninox

I suppose that thanks to the closed cells at the wings of the shaman, we can hope better L/D ratio than the peak, hence better speed and lift.
Also hope that the long-waiting Ninox is better on this point

Re: Going even bigger foil kite, what size?

For 80kg if you seek for extreme low end, you need surface ... so 19m (foil or twintype) ;
For the last half knots, be prepared to add line extensions for waterstart even if it is not very coherent with a race foil kite.

Re: -ing gear for the lightest of the winds

A lot of good comments from fogmeister and davesails7 ; at some point with the 15m sonic2 there just isnt enough pull .......and the fun is gone........while guys on 18m sonic2 and 19m ozone r1 v2 are still flying with speed!. Then there comes a point where you cant get up on the 15 but still can on...

Re: -ing gear for the lightest of the winds

I think lower wind than the peak is doable : i did this video with a very light double skin that hangs in the air even better than peak (already posted on the Pulsion topic, sorry) : https://youtu.be/cwO5Lho2Xro This is not the lightest I did but the best with a cam. To me the better glide of a doub...

Re: snow kiting - which is better? skies or board?

I would just add that in very light wind conditions, skis allow you to better tension the lines in a lulls to keep the kite in the air ( by using the kind of "roller blade dance" , sorry I do not know the name in english). You can also avoid easier obstacles like little rocks on your way . Overall s...

Re: Ocean Rodeo Flite Impressions

Yes indeed i use the leash and it requires finesse . Not that I fail in it, just that it is not compfortable I feel and I was just surprised that this technick HAD to be used sooner than other LEI that were however more heavy ... but ok, not a big problem vompared to the good feeling of the flite. A...

Re: Ocean Rodeo Flite Impressions

exactly that is a good point ; that is a good option, just need to remember or see which front line it pulls.
Do you also feel the same need when relaunching under say 12 knots ?

Re: Concept'air 12m Pulsion kite

Here is a (long) video I made last week in very few wind ( 4-6 measured on a official wind meter: windfinder) ; but I would rather say 6 (average), 5-7 with very punctual lulls of 4 knots . For impatients riders (or Pink Floyd haters :jump: ), you can go directly to : - 3:00 punctual lull of about 4...
