Re: Chinese KB Hydrofoil : 300 USD + shipment

Looks like in 2018 RE wants a piece of the hydrofoil cake as well. They now have rebranded Slingshot Hover Glide foil on offer http://www.rideengine.com/GEAR/surf-foil/Futura-Surf-Foil.html and it looks very similar to this Chinese knockoff with less sexy paint job if anyone is interested https://xm...

Re: Storm voyager 4

The hight of Y is relevant in regards to overall front lines length. From a simple trigonometry point of view angle of attack of the kite that flies on the high Y setting will be different than on low V setting assuming the front lines are of equal length and the bar is positioned the same. This can...

Re: Storm voyager 4

That one looks much better then the Light-Speed i had, which the guy i sold already sold it again... Hi Pedro, It is me who you sold the kite to. And indeed, only after a short period of time, I sold it as it was not good for me for what I needed. I was looking for a kite to use below my 9m Gong st...

...Before Spitfire, I had old MHL Lift 2013 foil with low aspects wings... ... ... During my first sesh I was surprised when instead of foiling I entered mechanical bull phase and I could not figure out why. Then I realised that I needed to forget what it was like on my low aspect foil as I could t...

Re: Freeride, strapless foil advice

Curiosity won and I got myself a and toy: Zeeke Spitfire paired with Dwarfcraft 54 board. I have had two sessions already. I am still a noob as I only started foiling earlier this year so my thoughts could be the same as for any beginner. Before Spitfire, I had old MHL Lift 2013 foil with low aspec...

Has anyone try installing the 2018 North Trust bar kit accessories on older North bars? I am particularly interested in rope slider kit.

Freeride, strapless foil advice

I am facing a dilemma of which foil to get to progress in my riding. I learned on a low aspect foil and now want something faster and more fun. I like free riding in general and want to be riding strapless all the time. I have no interest in racing, jumping or freestyle tricks. My style is cruising ...

Re: Hydrofoil NSI Foot Hookers - advanced version of Foot Hooks

I thought I would give them a try as I learned the hard way that hydrofoil + straps + boots can be very risky when you learn. I only use the front straps and keep them loose when initiating water starts. I want to go strapless at some point so what I really want is a single foot hooker for the front.
