Re: Woo 1.0 vs 2.0 vs 3.0

Without reality test maybe the v1 was the correct one...we Will never know... Agree. Seems as though the WOO has got more inaccurate with its later versions. GPS is not the best technology for height especially one made in a $10 Chinese sweat shop. From my observations in the last week with the WOO...

Re: Is Wakestyle dead?

For low level wakestyle the risk of injury isn't that bad I think. It's more when you go in it with full power like the pro's do, they ride with so much power that the impacts can be really hard. I have no ambition to do multiple air passes but landing a nice blind judge or backmobe would be great.

90%+ of the kiters just mow the lawn, sorry, with football you at least get some excercise.

Re: Calling cold water kiters! - Glove me.

Ripcurl flash bomb 3/2 5 finger, not pre-curved but the best I've had and I've had a lot. They are a nice balance between warmth and flex.

Re: Riders announced for Red Bull King of the Air 2018

With some swell the water is glassy with big waves with a large period, this makes cape town kite beach a dream location for this event. Big bay has apartments/buildings upwind which causes the gusty conditions.

Re: feedback on Zeeko

I've had a quiver of zeeko krush 2014, they were ok kites. Nothing special but not bad. I did have several issues with the kites though, in some configurations the kite would jellyfish pretty bad in windy conditions, I had to adjust the frontlines to get rid of this. The 9m which I used the most had...

Re: True C kites 14 meters

The rpm has been around forever, the Dash is in it's 1st or 2nd iteration. I'd stick to the rpm but if you have a 12m torch I would go up to a 15m or 17m lightwind kite with some freestyle capabilities such as the turbine. The 14m rpm won't help all that much compared to a 12 torch.

Billabong 7/6 hooded furnace lite works well for me in winter. Always so hot that even my feet/hands stay warm in the coldest weather.
I've kited in 3 degrees C and was warm but usually don't go out below 5 degrees C.
