Re: Switch Element vs Ozone Enduro (waves/foiling)

The Enduro might be just what you are looking for from your description. I have not tried the Element but the Enduro on the front bridle wave setting is very close to the Reo. If you move it to the middle setting it definitely gives more pull in the loops and jumps better. So with the Enduro you ha...

Re: so i tried kitesurfing, seems dangerous.

Of course day one is not going to be easy. And day 2 and 3 and 30 and 50.... Steep learning curve that takes some mental toughness to get through and repeats with venture into new progressions and disciplines. I dont think anyone on here picked it up and carved up wind with ease on day 1 or even day...

Re: How do you rig your lines ?

Its not that hard - When crowded, rig cross and wind your lines up when taking a break. If its not crowded and plenty of space (defined as you have a large circumference of space in all directions around you), then rig however you want. Most kiters who are mindful of others will respect the launch a...

shouldnt be too much of a debate here.... if there is plenty of space, do whatever the hell you want. If the space is limited, respect others and side rig.

Re: Share some of the challenges you've had to overcome to kite.

For me it was the mental struggle of the learning phase - getting phsycially beaten up, My wife having to help me put my socks on in the mornings from being so sore, always body dragging to find my board, walk of shame, tangled lines (this was prob the worst). About a month into kiting, I spent one ...

Re: How to jump out of a big wave when things go very wrong?

I do the same as plummet in bigger cross on conditions (cut back downloop) in hopes to out race it. The timing of that decision is of course the key. I dont mess around - If my timing is a bit off I bail out and try again. I figure hitting on 50% of my attempts without going through the washing mach...

Re: What is the biggest risk self launching?

Biggest risks are (which lead to injury or death or injury to someone else): 1- Lines tangled 2- Lines catch debris 3- launching in a wind shadow and as it goes up gets 2x the pull you were expecting 4- obstacles close proximity downwind of you 5- you get pulled / dragged as it goes up. So..... 1. D...
