Re: Firewire Vader, Fins recommendations

Currently running quad with a set of Futures 437 plastic. I like it so far. Better upwind than thruster.

Re: Eye protection -> tips on cheap and good-ish sunglasses for kiting

Here in Australia I lose my sunnies all the time when sailing or kite surfing so I now buy uv wraps from Bunnings. Cost 13 bucks and they are uv protective plus shatterproof.

Re: What are your Worst Accidents Hydrofoiling?

Wow some really nasty accidents in this thread.

I'm keen to know more on how to crash properly...

Re: First foil - Slingshot hoverglide ?

Thanks for all the replies !

I think I will bite the bullet go for an used one. I'm not looking for speed, just the shortest learning curve with the short masts then upgrade if I like it.

First foil - Slingshot hoverglide ?

I've researched for my first foil but the amount of different opinions is rather overwhelming ! I have 3 years experience kitesurfing, started with TT and now use surfboards 100%. Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

What's going on there and is the brand on solid footing? For example, It took them forever to release their new bar and ...

Strapless is awesome!
I feel sorry for all those TT non progressive kids who miss out on the feeling of carving, toe side, playing in waves etc... Yeah stick to mowing the lawn and 2m jumps lol

The Switch Element turns super fast on the pivot setting. Has anyone compared this kite with the others?

Re: Firewire Vader

I have the VD 5"1. It's a great board for windy conditions but sucks in light winds ! Which is why I just purchased a Nugget 5"3. So I suggest you keep your Nugget and get a 5"1 for windy days like me :-)

Re: Toe Side advices needed

Toe side is one of those things I just cannot master well unless I'm well powered up.

I always bring my back foot one foot forward and put more weight on the front foot.

I do lean a fait bit and dig the rail or keep it flat when under powered.

Maybe I need to get a rope slider...
