Re: Which kite manufacturer's kites have the highest quality/are most durable

lets see how desireable that centre tubing is When you start riding waves or kitelooping you will have very little desire for a PVC tubing jamming the bar movement. That huge spring on the cab bar doesn't scare you? Nothing gets caught on it? And the webbing strap depower never jams on you? I have ...

Re: Which kite manufacturer's kites have the highest quality/are most durable

lets see how desireable that centre tubing is if you get a linewrap and break your ankle, scapula and a few ribs. :) I do believe Switch will have less resale value in some parts of the world as people are reluctant to buy what they don't see on the beach and people have quite different gear in diff...

Re: Which kite manufacturer's kites have the highest quality/are most durable

tbh i just realized that the prices on their kites are in euros and not pounds which really is quite cheap.

Re: Which kite manufacturer's kites have the highest quality/are most durable

yeah the safety wrapping on the centre lines makes it impossible for your centre lines to get tangled around the bar which has caused plenty of accidents in the past. edit: @starsky i have no opinion about switch as you only rarely see them in the UK. I only remember like i said earlier that they ha...

Re: Which kite manufacturer's kites have the highest quality/are most durable

I really don't like their bar though. No centre tube protection to prevent line wrapping...
Also for most kite manufactuers you can easily get a discount at the shop or a massive discount for a kite from the year before which makes Switch actually more expensive.

Re: Which kite manufacturer's kites have the highest quality/are most durable

Havn't heard many things about Switch as they still have a bad reputation due to their shady advertising policies a few years ago.

Core doesn't really exist in the UK but is quite popular in Germany I think. Quality on videos looks topnotch for Core to be fair.

Re: Which kite manufacturer's kites have the highest quality/are most durable

2014 and 2015 9m / 12m both new. The 9m had the leading edge pop 2x (but was fixable via bladder welding) and had some maintainance at the same time to prevent 2 future repairs on the leading edge/canopy. The 9m did take some abuse due to selflaunching to the leading edge and at one point crashed in...

Which kite manufacturer's kites have the highest quality/are most durable

Judging by how often my switchblades need to go for repairs I have a feeling it's not Cabrinha. I heard Ozone and Epic kites are quite durable.

Any thoughts?
