Re: Please help: stop the ban in Miami Beach

It's a shame some people don't want others to enjoy themselves because they have are so miserable themselves. Miami Beach is a great place for hydrofoiling. Pretty sure no hydrofoiler has ever bothered anyone since the first 300 feet are too shallow. Is about time they ban the noisy airplanes towin...

Re: Please help: stop the ban in Miami Beach

The City of Miami Beach is trying to BAN KITESURFING! They will soon vote to force all kitesurfers to kite in one small location, at the edge of the City, far away from our homes, which will in fact create a safety hazard. ******************************************************************* SIGN THE...

Re: Please help: stop the ban in Miami Beach

Holly Kuhn did a great petition site where each person could write their own thoughts on the issue regarding the Cape Cod Nation's Seashore ban. This one seems to be kind of a rigid form not allowing individual expression. I will sign it, but would like to personalize it so that those reading the s...

50 feet from swimmers assumes that nothing will happen. If you get a 50 foot rule, you will be right back here defending another ban.

Kite boarders should be more than their line lengths away from swimmers at a minimum
50 feet is actually the IKO recommended distance funny enough.

Re: Any kiters here saved the lives of swimmers?

I am working on a campaign at the moment that tells the story of kiteboarding in a positive light. All to often are we cast as the outlaws on the beach, crashing kites and scaring beach-goers. Little is said about the lives that kiteboarders have saved over the years. We love when the wind picks up...

Re: Why would a city want Kiteboarders

Because it's the most exciting most fun, best sport in the entire world. Sometimes you want to pitch it so they want to help us kiter because we love it so much. Probably the hardest sell is how Chicago has kept Montrose beach open. The kiters there made every concession they could make, forced kit...
