Re: Launching a kite when no one is around

Hi, I've read and seen many videos describing the dangers of launching a kite on your own when no one is around. One method that I didn't see mentioned (and I am guessing there is a good reason for it but can't think of it) is to setup the kite and lines on the beach (have the kite facing down as u...

Re: Airush Ultra: one strut kite that meets expectations of a ram air lover

We've had the V2's in the UK for a 10 days. Plenty of sessions on the 10, 9, 7m.. First delivery sold out, waiting for the second. 10 is an interesting kite. This and the sizes above have new shaping. As I understand the 9 and below are virtually identical. Look lovely in the air. Visually a big im...

Re: Light Years Ahead - The Airush Ultra V2

having a 12M UL, it's hard to see (literally) any difference between the two versions. i think it's a good kite for foiling, but i never thought weight was a big issue for this kite. contrary to their claims, it does not relaunch well. quite often that long thin strut can get stuck down in the wate...

Re: Kitesurf boards to learn strapless/wave

kiteboarding is full of garbage clueless marketing regarding surfboards for kiting unfortunately its kind of embarrasing, nothing wrong with that 6' to learn on and keep riding on. best with surfboards is to swap boards out and learn about them as you go yourself, even the surfboard industry itself...
