Re: Infinity 3 bar for Soul 15

I used both. No issues with the clam cleat bar, neither the strap sytem. Lately I prefer the clam cleat for unhooking as I can do the full depowering and full powering very fast with the clam cleat. When you powering back with the strap sytem it is more like a step by step approach. You can power ba...

Re: Switching from Flysurfer to Lei

Alternatively, what Lei is the closest performance to Speed5 or Soul foil kites? The Boost 2 and 3 are kind of close. I did jump 10 meter with my Boost 3 15M. The Boosts are pretty good kites and the 15m turns pretty well with the trailing edge bridles. Otherwise I am using both tube kites and foil...

Re: Chrono V3 Vs Flysurfer Soul.

Jumping high is also depending not just on performance but on windrange too and the Soul has incredibly high wind range as you can see. I had the Sonic Fr 15, Sonic 2 13m and Soul 12m and I would say the Sonics has more performance but since the stability of the Soul the Soul has more useable windra...

Re: flysurfer speed V Sonic

I rode the Speed 3 15m and now the Sonic FR15m. The Sonic definitely jumps higher with more hangtime as well. By the way the Sonic FR is made the same fabric 40g/sm double rip stop material just as the Speed 3 colored editions and it seems a very strong materials so I would not be afraid it is not g...

Re: Fly surfer soul wind range

Hi, I am 95 kg. I can ride the Soul 12 M from 8-9 knots on a Razor (freerace board) and from 12-13 knots on a twintip 138x42. I can ride easily the 12 untill 25-28 knots and it really has an incredible wind range with huge stability. Once I rode the 15 m Soul accidentaly (the wind speed went up in s...

Re: FS Speed5 - not getting on with it

Try it with 2 or 3 meter extension. That will help you to make wider turns and generating more power in lighter winds. You might also want to check the lenght of the control lines and shorten it with a few cm. It can be set at the end of the bar under the floaters. It helps you that you can pull the...

Re: Is directional more fun than door in LW?

Both board makes sense. I am ca 96 kg and from the Doors the 160x45 cm Doors are the best for me, Flydoor L is a very good one or the Spleene 159 is also. You can jump a lot on them and actually I used to jump tons of backroll and front rolls transitions with kiteloops (downloops) with 15 or 18m kit...

Re: Lightwind kiteboard build, planing ahead

Hi, I rode the Flydoor L and XL both. I am ca. 97 kg. In very light wind XL is good but otherwise I always felt that a 160x45-46 cm would be the perfect board. So If I were you I would make the Flydoor XL in a 160x46 cm shape with no center fin, just the fins moved a bit on the edges. Right now I am...

Re: My first sessions with the Flysurfer Soul 12, a short video

Thanks everyone. 2 more questions: 1. 15mt vs 18 mt?. I weigh 190+ lbs. In-land Lakes here do not have consistent winds. So lightwind suddenly picks up to higher gusts. I usually hear foils are more powerful than their same-size LEI equivalents. I noticed that myself, while snowkiting this winter. ...

Re: Freerace board riding tips

Ride it in flat water (lightwind probably). Really chopy water is not much fun on a freerace board. If you have generaly chopy water then you need more like lightwind surfboard.
