Avoid anything older than 2013 - they really got kiteboards dialed down after 2013. Older boards, especially pre-2010, were junk - shapes were challenging to ride, rails not well designed/understood, etc.
lol, reckon there's a few shapers out there that'd disagree!

Re: Marc Jacobs - Kitesurf365 Podcast

Board offs scored down because everybody was landing them too easy. I got the impression it was a bit of a chore, it seemed like a case of 'lets put s*** this too bed' for the likes of Hadlow etc. Time will tell which way it goes, interesting too hear how it appears the riders have no clue on the ju...

Re: Sand / water / aqua socks to wear inside boots

^^ That's good then, the older models didn't have hard sole liners. Assuming it's the same with the Rads i might have a pair in a years time when the price comes down ;)

Re: Sand / water / aqua socks to wear inside boots

With regards to the shredtowns, I don't think their intended to be used for walking on the beach and may not last/invalidate warranty... Shredtowns were designed for multi-tower cable parks where once you fall you have to swim to shore and walk back to the starting point over dirt/gravel/rock/aspha...

Re: Sand / water / aqua socks to wear inside boots

Separately, the Hyperlite and Shredtowns sound excellent, but expensive. Also worried they are too far elevated off the board, but know for sure. My Ronix lines are a nightmare to secure and take forever to lace up sitting on beach. I'll probably go with the ZTrek or similar for now, then look for ...

Re: Sand / water / aqua socks to wear inside boots

2mm is the thinnest i've ever found which I can get away with in my regular size bindings (ronix tighter than LF iv found) but they don't last more than 4/5 sessions before the heel becomes obliterated. Also, as mentioned by EDT they are not gonna protect your feet a great deal but its definitely be...

Impressive no doubt as with anything at 15m+ but for me doesn't even come close to the kgb in terms of skill, risk or style.

Re: Filled epoxy rails

Makes me wonder why we bother with abs/urethane at all  Iv'e always used PU but use epoxy for repairs, some have been so wrecked iv'e essentially rebuilt the entire rail from epoxy. Doesn't last as long as the pu but does the job, silica helps! Never thought of throwing chopped up carbon in th...

Re: Ozone vs Core

The brand is irrelevant, their all the same give or take. It’s getting the right model from the range for what you wanna do that counts. Having said that, pretty much all modern kites are fine for beginners so I really wouldn’t worry too much.
