Re: Red Bull Megaloop in the Netherlands

I watched the finals live it was boring. Woo ruins everything. 70% for height and best kiters in the world are woosting megaloops. Backflips front flips one footers all scored lower than a woosted megaloop. be styling. 1) don't woost. 2) don't let others woost 3) don't let a contest be won with a w...

Re: Boots Vs Foot Straps

I kind of want to hijack this thread with a question related to boots. If i don't get responses I'll start a new one. I am thinking of switching to boots. What are different things to keep in mind? It seems to me there is not much choice. So do I just get a pair or are there big differences? Aside ...

Re: What is a Backroll?

I have never tried woo 2.0 wake style, if it can detect how inverted the rotation is and name the trick accurately that would solve the issue ;) It's like raley, some people keep kite high and throw their leg up scorpion style and call it a raley. I am fine with it, but you can tell one looks bette...

Re: Stupid question to Hooked in Boosters on Pop

My understanding from watching Antons video on jumping is that you aren't actually popping the board - you are generating maximum tension in the lines. Its just that the action of generating pop is more or less the same with generating maximum line tension so practising pop (without the kite moving...

Re: Stupid question to Hooked in Boosters on Pop

No in my opinion. Many will probably disagree but I don't believe 'pop' is the right word if you're hooked. When unhooking, you bare downwind before edging hard upwind to quickly build line tension that snaps you off the water with power, if done correctly you loose tension once airborne creating sl...

Re: North Gambler track system. How to repair?

Track system is rubbish. Start a fresh, rip the lot out and epoxy some new inserts in. If you do it properly it'll be stronger than it was before with the track system. Just make sure you get your stance right cos you won't have any adjustment. Key is too make sure you clear out all the old crap bef...

No I got it, no need for the 'plus'. I think the point I was trying to make went over your head.

Re: Who is going to be King of the Air 2017?

Boot rider: kiteloops, handle passes, rotations, deadman, stiffy. Strap rider: all of that above, PLUS OneFoot and boardoff. Who can offer more variation? A handle pass is simply a requirement to be able to complete certain rotations/spins. Putting them in the same category with board offs with reg...

Re: What would you do if crashed in big surf?

Toby, may I suggest a simple rule: if a member quotes someone else, the reply must meet two criteria: 1. be respectful of the other member, and 2. a constructive response that is pertinent to the quote, not to the other member. If the reply fails both rules, i.e. just some school yard bully "monkey...
