Re: How to turn a hydrofoil - and what is YAW ?

Seems to me they both work in unison. Yaw alone doesn't allow me to turn in any meaningful fashion.

Re: Brisbane (Broadbeach) February/March

You will typically get three or four days of 20 knot+ afternoon seabreezes (NE or SE) during Feb to March in Southern Queensland heading all the way down the NSW coast to Victoria.

I am 100kg and would typically use a 8/10/12.

Re: How to turn a hydrofoil - and what is YAW ?

Very well described Peter. The Zeeko Blue/White and Green/White come with different size rear stabilisers. The difference in the amount yaw you feel travelling in a straight line with the smaller fin is quite amazing. Added an additional sense of fun to my riding. I think as you improve you end up t...

IMHO....The 0.5s were not so jump friendly, but the D's are great.

Re: wings for using smallest kite possible

Snip... I'm looking to a bigger step down to slow and fun for some conditions. My thinking is 1. Light conditions. 2. Choppy, wavy, and confused water where slower speeds are more manageable, probably windy. Snip... Amazing so different we are... For light conditions the big wings are awesome. But ...

Re: Kai Lenny's new foil

Re: wings for using smallest kite possible

I have no issues turning and carving in sub 10 knots, although I do a lot of downloops for gybes. Maybe your kites are more suited to those lightwind conditions. My biggest is a 12m Enduro, which I like for a bit of everything, but I find it lacks a bit of response when carving aggressively downwin...
