Re: home made piss-off shampoo

I would say that there are two types of people in this world. - People that are normal and don´t pee in pants/wetsuits/car seat. - People that pee in their wetsuit and think that it is normal and that everybody do it. I recommend a meal of aspargus a few hours before you go out with your kite. This ...

Re: Tried a backroll, broke some ribs!

Also to avoid an accidental kiteloop, try to hold the bar as close as possible to the center, that way the it won't loop as fast and you might have a chance to correct. I was just about to write this. Hold close to the depower line in the center and learn with a kite atleast not smaller than 12m. T...

Re: Which is your preferred trim system?

I have tried some different systems over and under the bar, but now I am back with the good old pull-pull strap system. It works good enough when I rarely use the trim system (which is kind of never).

Re: Hello all help with rigging wipika air blast

Aah, probably atleast testable. It would be fun to try that old Wipika. As a total beginner it´s probably not the best idea, but in shallow water, sideshore wind, a modern quick release and a single line flag-out option it for sure can be done. You should definately let an experienced kiter test it ...

Re: The joys of valves leaking

I keep my kites very long, and I never had any valve issues really until last summer, when at a certain point ALL valves on a old Royal kite suddenly failed one by one during a week. I used that kite as my main kite during 9 years and it held up extremely well apart from that. The glue just seemed t...

Re: Launching a kite when no one is around

I am pretty much the only kiter around here, so I always launch alone. I never had any problems. The very few times I had some minor incidents it has always been when I got help from someone that I THOUGHT knew how to do so I didn´t explain clear enough. As long as it isn´t a really tricky spot, I f...

Re: Relaunching a kite while holding board

For flatwater and twintip board, let the board go, but keep somewhat track of it. Get the kite up quick. Then get the board. You will most likely loose more ground by beeing slow to relaunch while holding the board, than what you do when letting the board go and then bodydrag after a quick relaunch....

Pull the trigger anxiety - Naish Pivot sizing

I know this is probably the most asked question around here, but I just ask for opinions. I am just about to buy a new 9m kite as a complement to my 12m 2015 Naish Pivot, but I hesitate just before hitting the buy-button. I like the Pivot so I am getting another one. I have always been riding 12+9 s...

Re: Which is the best board you ever own !?

My favourite is the RRD 5X LTD 132x39 from 2008. Nothing really fancy. Just a light, well behaving twintip that always seems to beat everything new I try. It´s getting pretty worn, but I still use it today as my main board 10 years later, which is for me pretty unbelievable since I normally change g...

Re: Bought a bar off ikitesurf (new) and it was a 5 line when it said it was 4 line

I would worry more about the condition of the lines, the components and the bar. If the lines are fresh and the rest look good, it can´t that big of a problem to just convert it to four lines. It´s not rocket science to connect lines to a kite bar and get some sliding function for safety if you need...
