Re: Which 2018 North Kite should I buy??

I'm mainly a wave sailor windsurfing wise so when its really firing ill probably be out on that Let me tell you how this will play out. In a year from now your windsurf equipment and twin tip will be in the garage gathering dust. You will be kiting on a directional doing things in the waves you onl...

Trim Issue North Dice 11m

Hi A friend of mine just bought a used North Dice and Quad Bar 2015 all apparently in very good condition. Surprisingly on the first day he found out that despite sufficient wind he hardly had enough power and the kite was very slow. All frustrated he had to abandon the session. First thoughts were ...

Re: 2015 Ion Apex Harness Quality

Hi,

None of my harnesses from Dakine, Manera, Prolimit, NeilPryde etc was worn this much after only 200 hours without taking any special care really. In fact my harnesses looked better the day they died after maybe 1000 hours of estimated use. (Ocassionally I had to replace a broken hook).

Re: How to ruin your vacation with Core

Hi after reading the posts on this subject I have to admit I am a bit worried now. First of all, I do not have an informed opinion on Core! A few times a year I do smash my kite (another brand) on the water and while it is evident I try to avoid this from happening I thought that the risk of damagin...

Re: Blowing 11mph Gusting 30mph

In general I would say rigg the biggest you can handle in the gusts plus some safety margin but 17 seems too much. I would sail triming all the time for the gusts and the lulls. Why miss out on a day like that? At my home spot on extreme days we sit close to the shore moving the kites around standin...

Re: Kiteboarding Rules-of-Navigation Video

One situation I come across occasionally on a crowded day is that as I approach shore I take a look backwards before initiating a jibe to learn that close behind me lee wards another kiter approaches the shore leaving me without any options but to stop. You can take two views on this; 1. I should h...

Re: Stance ?

Hi Pellesurf, I am goofy as you but many of the wavespots I normally go to are regular if you surf front side. Coming from windsurfing, as I prefer front side wave riding over back side riding by far, I learned to surf regular. With practuce you can become almost as good. Go for it and practice. In ...

Re: Wave Kiting – doubt about specific quiver vs. technique

Hi All, it has been awhile since the last reply on this post. Given that you gave me so much useful input which helped me I thought I let you know on how things developed since. I think I owe you that since it helped me to make the right decisions: I sold the 2011 North Rebel 12m and replaced it wit...

Re: North Neo as freeride kite

I have the 11m North Neo 2017 and it covers the range of my previos 12m North Rebel 2011 with the added advantage that on very marginal days it is far less stressful to keep the Neo in the air in lulls for it is so much lighter.
