FS News:

"...the new Hybrid Wingtip Technology, used for the 1st time in a production kite"

:D I guess Gin Shaman wingtips are not "Hybrid Wingtip Technology" then? Anyway, it has cells at the wingtips (because of technology to do so?)...

Re: HyperLink 7m vs Soul 6m - wave performance

:) Ok, meaning to increase camber a bit. Then you might consider to do same (small) adjustment to the mixer as well.

There is a lot of possibilities to adjust.

Re: Flysurfer released Peak 4

This is logical evolution. Gin Shaman already showed one example of cells at the wingtips, this is another (and slightly different) one. Kite looks much better now, earlier Peaks haven't had so nice wingtips. Even kiteloops seem ok, though it may be a bit misleading to judge when pros do their trick...

Re: HyperLink 7m vs Soul 6m - wave performance

Armin recommended me to pull each PMA one knot without the last one in the tip! :?: You mean for both upper and lower skins? Why? Theoretically lines length should be proportionall to kite area square root. If same "effect" is asked for. Square root of areas are lengths. In this case essential leng...

Have you ever gone in 57.97 kn of speed on water with a kiteboard? in 30 kn? No, not anywhere near. Of course current record on the water is very respectable. AFAIK wind was then more like 50kn than 30kn. How much higher speeds on hard surfaces do you refer? Not much higher but much more accessible...

Re: Advice for hill ascents/descents

It is easiest to go downhill with a kite by heading against the wind. Then you can point your skis straight down and use your kite as a brake. Kite is then low and you control braking by sheeting in/out. With this technique it is possible to descent very steep hills. Speed can be so fast your ears a...

Re: Naish QuadTex Material

Why do you need original fabric to repair work? If some panel or panels are destroyed beyond repair perhaps then, but in normal repairs you just tape and sew it.

Re: Infinity 3 bar for Soul 15

Clam cleat is simpler, tidier, lighter, easier to use and more reliable. I used to have those horrible strap things: they slipped, ate straps (even to the snapping) and when depowered free strap end was a nuisance. (Yep, it was longer, even much longer than a clam cleat system free end, and bulkier)...
