Re: Could someone please invent a better way to self land a kite in high wind.

not sure why you guys don't tether launch and land in high winds- safest way. If there are logs then nothing fancy just a rope and carabiner. If no logs buy a sandshark Z or some stainless sand screw and put a spare leash to it. Takes <1 min to set up if theres a log or something and takes <5 min to...

Re: Video: C-Kites Vs Everything: Versus w/ Rygo

There so much BS with these C kites vs non C kites comparisons. Just go ride a modern 5-line C and see if you like it or not its a completely different feeling. Personally I like them a lot even though I don't ever unhook.

Re: More Advanced Kites

I never unhook, I only do two tricks - big jumps and falling off. I'm an old man. I ride C kites, vegas, torch, chaos and screamer. They are fun, I really enjoy them. I love how they turn, how they drive, how they have a really nice consistent pull. It's hard to describe how they feel so different,...

Re: Duty to warn

if you look at wind load in newtons F= 1/2 ρ v^2 A, where A is the area of the kite and V is the wind speed in m/s

regardless of rider weight, flying a 14m statically in 30mph generates the same amount of force as a 10m in 35mph and 7m in 42mph. However I feel like latter is practiced more commonly.
