Re: Los Roques y Isla Coche

Another one wondering the same thing. Los Roques looks amazing but I worked in Venezuela for a few weeks a long time ago and it was easily the most dodgy place I've worked. I left and went to work in Nigeria and it felt safe in comparison. Desperately want to try Los Roques but the fact that the cou...

Re: Nobile NHP split

Used my 2016 Carbon NHP split for 10 days straight last month in Brazil. First time I'd ever used it. It was ok. It's the heaviest board I've got/had so not sure of the benefit of the carbon construction other the strength, which is probably similar on the non-carbon. It took plenty of beating witho...

Re: GoPro Hero 6

I Hey Revl Arc if you are listening. This is your chance. GP in my eyes just laid an egg. No tangible upgrade from my Hero 4 Silver from 2+ years ago.(relevant features, size, price, fogproofing? ) 2 years is an eternity in the tech world. I hope your cam launches soon and is a hit. The ...

Re: Polluted water and drysuit in hot weather?

I have an Ocean Rodeo Soul and use it in 10-15C air temp and 7-10C water temp. With only a long sleeve tee and climacool shorts on underneath I have to drop down into the water to cool down. You'll cook in high ambient temps like that.

Re: 2017 Airline Sports Baggage Fees & Rules

American Airlines: complete and utter shambles, no consistency on whether or what they charge, they just make it up as they go along. If you getting chatting with the person, it can be free, if you get some bad tempered person, it'll be $150 each way. Worst airline on the planet. Qatar Airways: Neve...

Aruba in November

Looking for some advice for Aruba in November. Going to be travelling with a mate of mine who's never kited so he's looking for a 4/5 day package deal. I'll have my own gear with me and will hopefully kite in the same spot. We're staying in the Hilton Caribbean Resort so somewhere close on one of th...

Re: Inflatable wetsuit

Many years ago I did some trials on inflatable survival suits for flying offshore in helicopters in the North Sea. The intent was that if the chopper ditched you got out the window, popped the suit and it became almost a one man liferaft around you. Better than trying to get yourself into a full siz...

Re: First Foil

Thanks again for the input gents, appreciated. I'm going to go for the 18m Speed 5 if for no other reason than I want it to be better than the Contra, not just equivalent. The cost of these is high so why spend that much on an equivalent (equivalent-ish wind range wise, not in terms of all of the ot...
