Dude, that's got to be the most intense 2 minutes of swimming music I've ever heard; reminded me of the Game of Thrones soundtrack!

Re: Lecca-Lecca Minima 11m First Flight

I am a bit concerned with the report that there is less depower. Please keep in mind that my comparison is against a Sonic2 11m or an Elf Joker 7 15m, both of which are designed with depower in mind for racing. Compared to a Cabrinha Switchblade or a Naish Pivot, I'd say the Minima has more depower...

Re: Need advice for beginner - kite size

If you get your sister an old kite designed for advanced wakestyle tricks, the odds of her falling in love with kiting will plummet exponentially, compared to getting her a more beginner friendly freeride kite. The quality of the equipment, as well as its ease of use, are HUGE factors in getting peo...

Re: 9m Hyperlink UL loses pressure too soon

Are there any performance attributes that you think are malfunctioning? Is this just about your perception of how fast it deflates on the beach relative to a different brand kite, or is there something here that you're trying to troubleshoot because it's presenting an impediment to your enjoyment of...

Re: What is considered to be a big or small Board size for hydrofoiling

There's no denying the hydrodynamics of a bigger board giving you a wider margin of error, but once you're out of the beginner phase, the value of that equipment basically disappears because you figure out how to be more efficient and effective with your movements. For that reason, I don't think own...

Re: Foundation for Injured Kitesurfers?

Windsports for Wounded Warriors is a pretty good organization for military veterans to get out on the water and learn kiting, but it's not really exactly like what you mentioned. Worth looking at their stuff online just to get a vibe for how they operate.

Re: Maybe I'll get to keep my name after all..

Wouldn't surprise me to see sail manufacturers get into kiting now that kiting has an Olympic medal allocated for Paris 2024. I think that those companies will rush to grab the youth market that pops up to support feeder classes to the Olympics, and that's a good thing for driving entry level gear c...

Re: Strappless or Strapped for Learning to Foil ??

I'd recommend wakestyle boots for learning how to hydrofoil.

Re: Lecca-Lecca Minima 11m First Flight

More bar length yes, but I rode 20m lines with another kite the other day and hated it, I prefer 17m or less with foil on foil.

Re: Kitesurfing Saint Martin

Stopping on the island for a day with a cruise liner, curious if there's anywhere to rent some gear or sign my wife up for a lesson?
