Had pretty much the same impression, not the same windrange as modern race kites for sure, but overall and price to value just fine.

Didn't you feel a 55 cm bar with 18-20 m lines would fit better?

Re: 9m Hyperlink UL loses pressure too soon

Hi damsko, with light cloth there is always the risk of getting leaky in a shorter time. Flysurfer Speed 3 with the old Deluxe cloth in 2010 had this problem after 4 years and 300 sessions in my case, as I remembere value measured with the shown porosimeter dropped to 20-30 sec. Maybe you have a goo...

Re: Hydrofoil Videos

Nice Gunnar, let's see if stunt kiting is getting more common. On my lakes I already inspired one guy with a tube kite at 0:40 :D after being myself inspired by Greg's style. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9zZlJjn9ss I have writen something about, but just in German: http://kj4l.com/2017/11/18/how...

Re: Relaunching a wet foil kite

@Macster: Yes and no: Yes Patience can be important, but short lines just make Drops more likely but are just helpful to wind up to get to the kite to put it into a good starting Position which should not be necessary in 99% of the relaunches. If you drop your foil kite, while riding a foil board: 1...

Re: Need some advice on foil kites please (mostly Ozone related)

Hi Macster, similar discussion here: http://kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=197&t=2399999 don't think to much about technical details. Todays foil kites of the two big brands (Ozone and Flysurfer) are all developed to a level that existing problems will be more caused due to usage, but not constructio...

Re: Ozone Hyperlink 15 ?

The Soul and the Hyperlink are two completely different kites. Ah ok, thought Hyperlink and Soul are both classified as Freeride kites, while Chrono v3 is a Freerace, isn't it? Did I miss something here? Earlybird wants a kite with simple bridles and an open cell option. The Soul does not fullfill ...

Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

Hi everybody and thanks for the interest, @revhed: I was surprised myself that even the high AR (think about AR 7) old "Aspect 3.0" wing now worked pretty well, as I tried it an year ago and thought it is just to hard. I was thinking and discussing about ideal monowings with people like kite designe...

Repeatable measuring of lift-to-drag ratio, anybody?

Who should be interested in a good lift-to-drag ratio and therefore to find a possiblity to compare it quantitative? Low drag and therefore a good l-t-d ratio is the key to not just lowest wind, but also to be able to use the smallest kites. The less drag you have the less pull you need. For example...
