Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

I only use the Std wings and at first I used front strap in central position and back foot in front of back strap as I had done with my Black&White. This was just plane unco and porpoise city so back foot went into back strap which is just behind mast. It took a little time but had better control. A...

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Had another day on my Spitfire. Standard wings, 20mph winds or there about. 195lbs and flying a 8.5 kahoona. All in all some progression. Most of the time board in the water with a lot of slapping. Was able to get foiling above the chop on occasion. When I did always encountered the board/foil porp...

Re: Corrosion on Aluminium parts (Moses fuselage)

The only Anodising procedure useful enough is Hard Anodising which from my experience is not that appealing to look at. But great as a surface preparation for powdercoating.
Once you go for colours it’s durability etc. goes down hill.

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Not that sure that the STD Spitfire wings will naturally go near 25mph. They do give the same lift as White&green which is regarded as pretty good for learning. But these days of super sized wings have changed the normal it seems. Also what are normal conditions for some maybe not for others. My nor...

Great comments Bigtone667.
Great to get you back from those geriatric foils.

Re: Why not more canards ?

I think the canard idea is great and certainly works for me. But it did take a while, and then only when I’d stopped using geriatric foils and solely focused on the Spitfire.
To say that just an hour on it is enough to appreciate the true nature of the beast is not doing it justice

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

According to Zeeko using a XXLW Spitfire on 90cm mast is not possible and will damage the mast and plate.

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Some time ago Nicolas might have said that the XXLW wings were only for 70cm max and no jumping.
But maybe the testing has proven otherwise.
