Re: Spitfire with standard stab and XL wing

There is a user here that uses the std front wing with the XLW rear wing and raves about it. But can’t remember name.
Going from XLW front to std front will increase rear weight bias and manoeuvre better

Re: Spitfire-cannards in general

I use my XXLW spitfire with a 90cm mast with the Windfoil base plate. Top speed before front foot pressure starts burning calf muscle is 18kts. The std wings are on my std spitfire mast. I love the std wings for jumping and bigger faster waves. But way more pitch sensitive and you have to get going ...

Re: Best all round kite quiver for foil & freeride TT

I’m 94kg and foil from 11kts to around 22kts then switch to TT to mid Thirties.
One kite. Two line lengths
8m zeeko Notus Air.

Keep thinking about foiling below the 11-12 kts but here that means wind dropping to zero then a gust.

Re: Lazy induced rut.

What alerted me to it was getting in a couple of Windfoil sessions after some months away from that side of it. And noticed firstly that I’d almost forgot how, then how come I can foil so much easier on port tack. So yes I know what I should do. And yes it snuck up on me. Now to find the tin of self...

Lazy induced rut.

Feeling old and lazy these days and for last couple months have just foiled in the one stance. Left foot forward in straps, in-line. Mainly protected waters and minor swell or chop I even waterstart straight to toeside if I want to go that way and can carve plenty of smaller waves bottom and top tur...

Re: Wingfoiling not foiling?

Maybe it’s an issue for those over jockey size.

Re: why are mast tracks so far from tail of board?

Agree with PF that as you improve you start moving further back. I’m a straps and lazy foiler just basically not foot switching. I waterstart mostly toeside now if going starboard tack. This shows up the burning in legs if unbalanced stance and every 6 months, it seems, the straps go back a hole.

Re: Hydrofoil dedicated wetsuits with cut protection?

I have seen a fingerless glove going to elbow made of Kevlar used is plastic moulding industry to protect from burns when working on machinery that could spit out molten plastic. So it should be possible to get a sock made of Kevlar that could go over or under a wettie. Or go Canard and problem solved
