Re: Three strut Hybrid C kites for foiling?

Does someone have some experience with unhooking on the LF Solo or Airush Ultra (or similar one-strut kite) or other options? I think it just won't be worth your time. All C-kites advertise how stiff they are. Just about all of them have 5 struts. The 3 strut hybrids are already a compromise. The p...

Just a thought...
Wouldn't it 'work' if you like a very slow ride and pick a kite several sizes smaller than you normally would?
What is the point if you have to ride with the handbrake on?

Re: 2019 Duotone Click Bar

Time and effort in the bar? ... They claimed they tested the bar for 3 years, but somehow these lines, and the fraying inside the bar itself just slipped past the QC this entire time? Same for the original V-split btw. The original V-split wear issue was a difference between manufacturing methods f...

Re: Torsional flex - now a good thing :-)

In the picture a third from the left on the heel edge there is a big deformation in shape. Same toeside a third from the right. Those deformations are very draggy in water. To deform the heelside trailing edge downward by applying more left trailing foot heel pressure than front foot pressure would...

Re: Are you thinking about becoming a foiler?

Masts are one of the cheapest parts of the foil. I don't know anyone who's had lessons. I know plenty of foilers though. No, they are the most expensive part of a carbon foil. Only if aluminum foils, they are cheap, so depends what new foilers get, which can be both, quite evenly distributed here. ...

Re: Are you thinking about becoming a foiler?

No need to get professional lesson watch a couple videos you be fine only gonna learn with practice. Also disagree. If you're comfortable on a directional, you probably only one or two hours of lessons to get the basics right. At the local foiling spot, it is easy to differentiate the beginner foil...

Re: Harness Position

Waist harness should be around your waist (convenient name) I like to have it as tight as humanly possible to try and stop it riding up. IDK if this is the generally accepted "correct" method or not. That what I do. Breath in and tighten. Repeat until impossible. I suppose some people may have a bi...

Re: Impact Vest's Shocking Statement

It helps. The text inside is just them covering themselves legally. If you look inside any life jacket it will tell you that it is not a life-saving device and will not prevent from drowning. Basically it's to avoid someone wearing an impact vest in a car crash, getting injured, and suing them becau...
