Re: Impending trade war: Tariffs affecting the kite industry?

this is all about politics...nothing to do with kiting. Keep it kiting or it will be closed. Hi, if this gets out of control an it looks like it will, kiting will be our smallest problem in the future. If censorship is the right way, you have to decide. Unfortunatly history repeats itself and the p...

Never about any other brand I read a topic how to tune bran new kite so it flies to start with. That’s some serious sh*t pressing as I see it...
You're getting more for your money!
Other brands cheat you out of those hours of tuning your kite before you can use it.

50/50 chance 'Duotone' survives the name change. No Shannon at Best? No Lou at Wainman? How'd that work out for them? Would be like if Pete or Robbie left.

I really hope Duotone manages to make it without Lowell North... I guess he is turning 90 next year so he had to retire at one stage.

Re: Officially announced: North becomes Duotone

What brand and year was it that a lot of people got their panties in a bunch about the 'horrible' graphics?
Can anyone remember, or did we just get used to it?

I think it was Cabrinha one year...
And last year everyone complained about the NKB canopies as well, yet we survived.

Re: Shorten lines on trainerkite?

Why do you want to shorten the lines?

Shorter lines will not remove a noticeable amount of power from your trainer kite.

Re: Officially announced: North becomes Duotone

At least North was one of the first to correctly define what we do, kite boarding NOT kite surfing unless done in waves by definition.... Ever seen anyone "surf" on a flat lake? R H Once again we can blame the poleboarders for deciding that they should be wind'surfers'. Everything that is wrong is ...

Re: at what height kite lines cross when looping

I think you would need to do some simple geometry using the width of your bar and the width of the back lines attachment points, as well as the line length, to solve for the crossing point.

It would obviously not be exact, but close enough. If you give us the numbers someone can figure it out.

Re: Officially announced: North becomes Duotone

Some interesting things are going to happen over the next few months. 1. Boards and More is going to spend heavy marketing dollars to support the new Duotone brand 2. I am wondering who is going to pick-up the northkiteboarding.com domain name? (Boards and More or North Sails?) 3. How is Board and ...

Re: Recommendations for Best instruction and user friendly place to learn to Foilboard this summer

Mauritius - Pointe d'Esny, not Le Morne.

Contact Speciliased Kiteboarding (https://specialisedkiteboarding.com/).
Great place to foil, great instructors, and your wife will enjoy the beautiful beaches, as well as the tons of other things Mauritius has to offer.
