Re: Triple & quad ripstop

Elongation test? Would be interested to see how that was done and how it relates to real kiteboarding situation. Yes the strength of the material and it's stretchability would be important, but the most important? What about: resistance to violent impact, resistance to flapping, sun exposure, resis...

Yea, we all get it already. Do you know the saying, Beating a dead horse?
The expression "closing the stable door after the horse has bolted" springs to mind.

Re: Floatation/impact vest

If floatation is your issue an impact vest plus wetsuit will do the job! I float just fine...it also adds some warmth if you have to lay in the water for some time! This ^^^. There are several threads discussing impact vests/flotation At some length, here is one: http://www.kiteforum.com/viewtopic....

Re: Don't buy a Core kite before you read this!

Look at the pictures, there is no wear. Just failure from a single point load with the hint of a cut. Much as you might wish it, this is not a case of wear and tear, it's not even a case of failure due to defect. You keyboard warriors with all your experience... Know the square root of diddly squat...

Re: Board size advice

Go for the bigger board. When starting everyone thinks a small board is the bollocks, but in reality has little advantage (in the ranges you’re considering). If you ever plan on using boots on your TT you’ll want it a little bigger than with straps. Several (most?) freestyle pros use boards in the ...

Re: Don't buy a Core kite before you read this!

Perhaps you should read it nice person, it talks of wear, not sudden catastrophic failure as is the case in those bridles. Catastrophic failure follows unnoticed unexpected wear. Look at the pictures, there is no wear. Just failure from a single point load with the hint of a cut. Much as you might ...

Re: Twin Tip Shipping

I have a few twin tips I'd like to sell however I've never shipped before. Any advise on how to pack...needing good protection yet wanting to keep shipping costs low. Also...any idea what shipping costs could be (USPS) within Continental US. I'm in Texas so distance to either Coast is similar. Tim ...

Re: Don't buy a Core kite before you read this!

Here's some pictures, are you happy now? I am indeed.. Clearly an example of complete over stress. Whatever you did there it's not a manufacturing defect. I can't imagine how you did it, but it was most certainly NOT in normal flying circumstance. Not in normal flying circumstances? Perhaps you mis...

How long ago did you buy it? You have the right to return any item bought online within 14 days for any reason as long as it isn't used.

I'm assuming you noticed the defect on receipt of the board and haven't actually used it?
