Re: The Most Important Skill To Develop For the Entry & Future Kite Foiler

@ok kiteboarden...thx man..I haven't tried all of your tips yet...still waiting for the first chance to go out on my brand-new foil. Your stories seem to make sense. I'll let you know whether they really do. :-)

Re: Choosing size on a wave board, please help

Archer, Matteo has a fair point...some people think volume is important, some don't. There are many factors that will influence your feelings about the board....volume is only one factor. The way I see it: you're going to have a lot of fun on the board. And then in a couple of years; you'll get bett...

Re: Moon on a stick?

It's pretty common, though as a rule it's two Futures Fin Boxes, and not a Tuttle Box. Why, I don't know. Check the Hydrofoil Builders forum for more info.

Re: Fastest way how to set up your kite

Knotwindy, that is actually a good point. Running out your lines is a smart thing to do, because you check by feel.... What's with the rush anyway. Setting up the gear with the wind in your hair, eyeing the waves and whitecaps...is all part of the session. Foreplay, if you like. Who cares about a mi...

Re: Need a new term for being lofted horizontally!

:-).

You don't need a new term for this event, you're hardly the first kiter to keep the kite too high when hit by a gust.

Put it low, dig in, if necessary, slow down till a standstill during the gust. In between the gusts, don't let your boardspeed get too high.
