Maybe this slalom board is no slower than raceboards or hydrofoils? Might be loads of fun. Or maybe it's only slightly slower than raceboards and foils... bound to be cheaper, though. Not only pros do that. I do it too. If letting go of the bar is not enough (this should normally have my kite hit the water), I want to punch out immediately, and not in two steps. I have the same issue....maybe use one of these, while wearing gloves?

To be clear, I haven't tried it...I just went back to my openpalmed mittens. No burn, but quite cold :-(
