Drilling hardware

So I have a Hover Glide and I'm an idiot and let me bolts freeze up on my mast. Luckily I can still remove the plate from the board but the plate and fuselage are both cemented to the mast. I understand I can drill them out, and there's a convenient youtube video specifically for this posted by Hous...

Re: Leash carabiner opening after unhook trick?

This has happened to me twice since I started listening to kiteforum and attaching my leash to the D-rings on the side of my harness instead of the handlepass tube on the back, which is much thicker. Went back to attaching it in the back and it hasn't popped off since. If it's popping off at the chi...

Re: Hydrofoil choice

The LF foil boards are wakesurf boards, not surfboards.... so they will work for waveriding but probably not the best since they don't have much (if any) rocker. They're designed to ride knee high wake behind a boat. There are a options I've looked at that look somewhat decent, my favorites are the ...

Re: How to self land core sensor pro bar

For that much wind I'd say it really depends on how well the kite likes being pulled down, I've flown some kites that are pretty much impossible to self land like that without falling on their back, and others that just plop right down with no problem. You could pull the safety line, you just need t...

Re: How do you dismount?

I usually ride with the board on the water and take my feet out of the straps (if I have straps on the board) and cruise in very slowly with my kite high until the wing bumps into the sandy bottom. If I rode somewhere that had rocks or I had a carbon foil, I'd just hop off in deeper water and body d...

Re: How true do you consider this map?

categorizing entire countries as "windy or not" makes it completely useless

Re: Forearm Burn - What to do about it

You need to adjust your technique, you shouldn't have a deathgrip on the bar. Ride with your fingers loosely around the bar with your thumbs on the bottom for leverage (not wrapped around). Your hands should be very relaxed and causing no strain at all, whether you're wearing gloves or not. Bad: htt...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

What are the stats on the kite weight? I was really hoping E6 would be a tuned up version of the E5 that cuts some weight out and increases stability... not a redesign with 5 struts :(
