Re: Cabrinha Apollo Rider Reviews and Experiences.

if you're not into foiling then no, it's a worse kite in almost every way if you aren't foiling. slow turning, very difficult to relaunch, prone to overflying. even for hydrofoil racing, it's not competitive against actual race foil kites. and if you aren't racing, there isn't much reason to ride a ...

Re: Repairing a pump seal

Grabbed a cheap "Airhead" from chinamart a couple years ago in a pumpless moment. Anyone else think we pay a big price for the decals? absolutely - i got my last airhead from chinamart for $9 on sale and it has the switch to go from dual-action to single-action for those last few pumps, if you real...

Re: Ready to start again but first I need to buy my gear

As far as sizing goes, your first kite should not be a 5 or 6m, as the winds you would need to ride those sizes in would be far too dangerous for a beginner. I'm the same weight as you and a 12m is my go-to kite, from 12 to 20 knots. This is the wind speed you should be learning in, as the consequen...

Re: rainx sucks for gorpros, turtle wax is better

I put rainx on my old gopro and I'm pretty sure it ruined it. Had a really tough time getting any usable images after that due to how blurry it always was.

I usually just give the lens a good lick, that seems to work really well.
