Re: Mouth Mount for GOpro, high probability of injury the face?

I use a $10 one from amazon and made sure that it has big enough breathing holes, so that isn't a problem. Jaw gets tired after a while but I can usually ride with my jaw relaxed enough, and only bite when filming to keep it steady. I keep mine on an elastic necklace that it came with, but find that...

Re: Kitewave board as lightwind for a 66kg person

what do you consider light wind? surfboards generally don't get you much extra bottom end over a twintip, they just help you point slightly higher upwind because you have the advantage of the fins. i spent years trying to compromise and get a big-ish surfboard for "better light wind" and some regula...

Re: landing kite by yourself

most foolproof way is to hook your chicken loop onto something solid like a sandbag or part of your truck or something. you can pull your leash off and wrap it around the object and use that to clip to your CL. if you don't have that, you can try what was mentioned above with pulling the top front l...

Re: Gear advice - tyranny of choice

Hard to go wrong with picking the one that has the nicest colors. Most boards are good these days, I dont even really bother demoing. Can't think of a board I've tried in the last few years that I didn't like besides beginner-specific ones. Biggest difference is really the straps, imo.

Re: Help with Ben Wilson Surf Slow Leak

Slingshot valves between the bladders? So I'm guessing a repair was made at some point with different valves and there could be a slow leak somewhere in there, I've had this happen before where it's impossible to find any kind of a leak, and it even stayed inflated overnight with no air loss, but wi...

Re: Second board advice for 210 dude

150 is going to feel like a door unless you're like 7ft tall. if you really need that much more surface area for light wind i'd probably look at something that's more fun to ride, like a foil

Re: Ebay dispute

this story really hits home for me... i once bought a 7m used for a very low price, flew it in the gorge all summer on the 30+ knot days, no issues... turned it around and sold it as "no issues/repairs" and the buyer asked why I didn't mention it had been ripped in half. I thought I was being scamme...
