Re: Ready to start again but first I need to buy my gear

As far as sizing goes, your first kite should not be a 5 or 6m, as the winds you would need to ride those sizes in would be far too dangerous for a beginner. I'm the same weight as you and a 12m is my go-to kite, from 12 to 20 knots. This is the wind speed you should be learning in, as the consequen...

Re: rainx sucks for gorpros, turtle wax is better

Re: Launching solo

Jake's video is great Random bits of advice: - Some kites suck at the drag launch technique, after 5+ years of almost never botching a self-launch, I now have two different kites that are extremely difficult to launch this way without tangling the wingtip somehow and causing the kite to start death ...

Ask Bob, he might have the H3 Hoverglide wing in stock too...
I'd prefer aluminum or g10 to carbon
Slingshot Hoverglide is aluminum setup. Not sure of wings, pretty certain they're not carbon
pretty sure theyre made of cement

Re: Moving from Switchblade to FX

So you are saying the FX goes upwind better than the leg breaking Switchblade in some wind? interesting, quite different from every other review I've read. Would like to have an FX in my quiver, but this has been an issue - until now! maybe im pretty light and i like to ride lit. My friend who's he...

Re: Airush Lithium opinions

for brand new gear that is an ok price i guess, personally i'd never pay that much because you can get last year's gear for half the price, or used for even less as far as the actual kites, lithiums are nice for beginners but they don't jump very well. good if you're learning or if you just want to ...
