Kite Longboarding

Is it worth it to try to learn directional kiteboarding on a longboard (3 fin 8' soft top or single fin 9' epoxy) just to learn jibing muscle memory or will it be too hard to turn etc?

Re: Ride Engine Rib Jab

Is the whole harness riding up? Or the pad and bar? Or just the bar rotating? Gotta know the cause to fix it... Harness is not riding at all. The left side pokes my ribs from the bar's strap attachment points and the right side is from some mystery spot. It doesn't appear to be the buckle on the ri...

Ride Engine Rib Jab

Just got the 2018 Ride Engine harness and when I jump and transition the thing pokes me so hard in the ribs it feels like they could break. The left side pokes from the buckle and the right side is from some mystery spot. It doesn't appear to be the buckle on the right so I'm not sure. Ive never had...

Re: Offshore Wind

Cross off today, very gusty, 10-35 knots, 6 MTR kite, 5 ft waves, or some would call swell, 3 jet ski rescue guys on hand, as this is an off shore, mega windy holiday location. Had a blast, so strange,as gybing back out was so easy, smooth ,and felt so good.. Rescue was not used, so my 50 euro rescu...

Offshore Wind

Is there anything to know about kitesurfing waves in offshore wind? Its a shallow inside reef break with smallish (3 to 5 foot) waves, safe launches and landing zones both to the north as well as to the south. The break isn't right on the sand but its never more than 30 to 50 yards off the beach. Gu...

Surf kites don't need to turn fast, you are after a wave kite or something to do turns on flat water with or near waves, especially in front of them for the pics.
I need a wave kite that turns fast.

Fastest Turning Surf Kite?

What's the fastest turning surf kite on the market? And hows the drift on it comparatively? I'm primarily interested in larger sizes (9m to 13m) and I'm NOT interested in strut-less/mono or ram-air/foil kites.

What's the best waist harness?

My DaKine waist harness really makes my sides/ribs sore especially after the first hour and especially after multiple days in a row of kiting. What's the best waist harness out there that puts the least amount of squeeze on your torso? I know people swear by the Ride Engine but I have heard more com...
