Re: Foot Straps

It depends do you need boots. Here in Northern Europe we need strap adjustment because winter season you need 7mm boots. So basic dakine is just too small.

Re: Landing jumps without falling forward

I also have that problem, some times when landing I get catapulted forward just when touching the water. The most dificult part for me is to feel when the foil is going to leave the water when popping (My spot is always really choppy) and sometimes I get out of water before than expected with a ton...

Re: Landing jumps without falling forward

6m is very good. Nice progress. I manage about 4-5m. I would need more stable/faster wing to jump higher. I have very low aspect wing now and it is difficult to go fast with it. It gets very unstable. Luckily I have some sword 2 freerace wings comming so the there is no excuses anymore :D

Re: Landing jumps without falling forward

I use foil kites that give pretty easy landings but here are my tips: - You definitely need more aggressive hangling of the kite because of its small size. With hydrofoiling you can get away with very small kites but to actually jump and land so that you can continue foiling you need to be well powe...

Re: Vibration at low speeds

Thanks Peter, My first foils have not vibrated that made me wonder. It works exactly like you said. When it vibrates it is close to stalling speed but I can still stay up. This is really not anything that would be annoying. I was just worried is something going to break if I take it to higher speeds...

Vibration at low speeds

Hi, I bought used MHL lift carbon hydrofoil 2015 edition. It looks to be in pretty good condition. When I foiled it for the first time it has this weird low herz vibration in low speeds. It is very noticeable when I make turns. Once I have some speed it goes away or I don't notice it anymore. I thin...

I'm impressed. The videos are helpful. But are all Finnish launch sites this sketchy?? Makes my launch sites look darn near civilized. :o
:D The other spot there is our most popular "beginner" spot. Most start sites are more sketchy.

Re: F-One 800 foil turned to mush in one session

Just because you can do something doesn't mean you have to do it. For instance I could call you a little muppet but what good would that do? Even though I'm technically right. Well, that´s your opinion. Go and find somebody that cares about it :bye: Bye bye, thanks for adding absolutely noth...

Re: Line Length using foil kite

Actually for foiling you definitely prefer longer lines if you don't jump. That is the only downside of longer lines. Everything else is better with longer lines while foiling. Foil kites turn slower so longer lines give you more room to play. I use standard 21m lines with my kites mostly because we...

Re: bar length important?

I think longer bars definitely helps with hydrofoil. I steer mostly with one hand and having leverage helps. I use 60cm bars in all my kites (sonic 9,11,15,18m). Looping is much easier. Then again I use foil kites which are a lot slower to turn than tube kites. Maybe for tube kites it does not matte...
